In her words: “2020 has been a tidal wave of unexpected emotions, fears and humbling experiences. I’ve had to remind myself many times, that everything is a process, to be calm, patient and this shall pass. Now, as it is part of my life’s story, it truly feels like an unbelievable dream sometimes, then I snap back! For myself, I naturally see the beauty in life. My beautiful takeaways from this journey have been, stronger family connections, deeper conversations, the true strength of teamwork and community, more outside, more bike rides, more creativity, happy dogs, longer hugs and kisses and forced pause in time to reevaluate what is truly most important in this life. For me, that is to always choose love first and to pay full attention to all beauty during the tidal wave and ride it out smoothly on a surfboard till you hit the sand.”
