In her words: “I’ve struggled with depression for almost nine years. A gradual process, I’ll admit, with several peaks and valleys. During this pandemic, we often think about what or who makes the day better. I’m reminded of my son, Tommy: he is the best thing I never knew I needed. From the moment I knew I was going to have him, I knew Tommy was meant for greatness, and that made me want to be a great person as well. He is such a wonder to behold. I didn’t plan on having children, and now here I am. I am the luckiest.”
