In her words: “Life experience has taught me that the greatest challenges often bear tremendous gifts. Among those I’ve received during the “lockdown,” is a renewed appreciation of the people in my life. I’ve reconnected with family members and friends from my past who I hadn’t been in touch with for quite awhile. Our shared history and familiarity made it effortless to pick up where we left off and provided a sense of comfort during an unsettling, anomalous time. Another gift I’ve received has been learning to embrace stillness. I’ve started a daily ritual of meditation, something I had on my “list” for quite sometime. It has already had a profound effect on my well-being and has been beneficial in assisting in staying centered and grounded, especially now.”
