Meet Lynn Palmer Crane

Meet Lynn Palmer Crane, portrait photographer.

Location: ID

In her words (written on 6/4/20): “Yesterday my husband and I were talking about how we want to go for an overnight trip and eat at a particular restaurant in SLC. We had been only once before, because it’s really high end and only for special occasions. On an impulse we checked to see if or when it will reopen. Although it will be reopening soon, it will be a completely different experience than it was. And it made us both a bit sad. It made me think again, though, as I have so many times since the shutdown, that we never know when will be the last time we’ll do something. Change can come so unexpectedly, and something that we assume will be there another day might not.
So how is this a positive thing? Recognizing this makes me commit to living my life in a fuller way. I have committed to not putting stuff off like I tended to do, either out of laziness or because I was waiting for the right occasion. I’ve become more aware, more in the moment, and more grateful. I appreciate so much more the ability to hug people I love, laugh over a cuppa, go to a movie, or even use a public water fountain! When we can get back to being a bit more social again, little things will be big blessings! I suppose, in a weird way, while Covid has limited my life right now, it has provided the opportunity to expand it, and I don’t want to let that opportunity slip away.”
