In her words: “During a weekend in April when everything was shut down, our neighbors had organized a street party. Two of them had outlined a four-square box in the middle of the street and placed benches and chairs under shade as well! I only knew the family of one of the houses, but I was eager at the opportunity to meet more neighbors so I walked down there and asked if I could join. We played for hours and by the end of the night, five houses on our street had joined! It was such a fun time, and I was so thankful that because everything was shut down, I was able to meet more neighbors and increase the sense of community in our neighborhood.”
