Meet Melony Young
Location: UT
In her words: “At age 50, I constantly hear myself saying that I wish I could “Simplify my life.” I have a family, a busy job, goals, classes I’m taking, hobbies, etc. Half the time, I am running around on auto-pilot, mindlessly doing “All the things.”
Since COVID19 changed my dynamic, I can’t say I’ve slowed down, because I still have to do all the same things. I’m still working and more. What I have realized is that my life (before) may be busy, but it IS simple. I have a new sense of gratitude for the ease and simplicity of walking into a store and grabbing whatever appeals to me in the moment. I have completed some of my goals, and made significant progress on others. I’ve become more mindful in many areas and what was stressful a few weeks ago (online grocery shopping) is now a strategic, organized and money-saving task that is very simple!
I’ve been creative with my grandson and connected with my daughter is the best possible ways. I also don’t miss all the running around for things that don’t really matter.
Sometimes, the blessing lies in the realization that your life is exactly correct as it is…you were just too “busy” to notice!”
