In Valery’s words: “Historically, women and minorities have been disenfranchised in the world of business. When Covid-19 disrupted the global economy, its effects magnified the challenges that these groups already face in their business and entrepreneurial pursuits. Inundated with the myriad of stories of small businesses being forced to close, Letizia and I, two 9-to-5ers with a passion for entrepreneurship and supporting others, brainstormed how we could help influence positive change while supporting women and minorities. Armed with knowledge from a previous venture, we created a community marketplace focused specifically on women and minority entrepreneurs to highlight their products and services, give them an amplified online presence, and create a community of support. The goal of the website is to provide a space where consumers can engage with these entrepreneurs and help change their business culture from surviving to thriving.

Since starting the project in May, Letizia and I have connected with women and minorities from different backgrounds and places. They have been encouraged by the very business owners they seek to help. People’s resilience, determination, love and support during challenging times has been a tremendously powerful force that both Letizia and I are truly grateful for.”
