About Shoebox Ministry

SHOEBOX MINISTRY, INC. is a 501(C)3 non-provit service corporation, located in Arizona. Shoebox was founded in 1988 with a specific goal of meeting the personal hygiene needs of people experiencing homelessness and others in need of help.  We are the only agency in the greater Phoenix area with an ongoing program that coordinates  the collection and distribution of toiletry items for agencies serving people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence survivors, abused and neglected children, the working poor, and other people who need, but cannot afford, hygiene items.

COVID-19 RESPONSE

Right now, there are approximately 2,500 people considered unsheltered, living on the streets. People experiencing homelessness and those who are living in recovery homes and shelters are some of Arizona’s most vulnerable. Most often, they live in unclean spaces, lack access to basic amenities, are frequently in close proximity to others, & have already-compromised immune systems.

The Cause:

Net proceeds from this project are bring donated to Shoebox Ministry to provide hygiene products (like soap!) to individuals who are homeless and others in need. Every $1 that is donated provides 2.5 days of hygiene products, so literally every dollar counts! So far, more than $600 has been donated and growing every day!!
